NLT are very proud to be able to share with you our latest EV charger installation for one of our customers’ head office in Northampton.

Our customer as part their environmental strategy is transitioning its company car fleet to electric hybrid and pure electric vehicles. The brief from our customer was to propose a charging infrastructure solution to support this transition and reduce its company fleet carbon footprint.

The scheme which will be rolled out across its Building Products manufacturing locations required charging units that were smart, futureproofed, and fast charging for both hybrid and pure electric vehicles.

With that brief, we set about sourcing the best charger to fulfil our customers’ requirements. We had already researched available chargers and functionality, and so contacted GARO with our requirements, and as easy as that, we found our charging units.

The site has benefitted from three dual charging units, each supplying 32A of power to the connected vehicle. The towers are made of a sleek marine – grade aluminium and meets IK10 requirements. They sport some ambient lighting at the top of the unit so show charging status.
The chargers are activated via programmed RFID tags, to prevent unsolicited use, and the cables are untethered, making the appearance very smart indeed.
The internal components of the charging tower mean that it can be upgraded and changed to suit the intended use, therefore making it a very futureproof product for our customer.
